The Peas Project Print E-mail

ImageThe Peas Project's 11 musicians just need to get you dancing with a mixture of festive musics that always end up funky.
A tireless rythm section, screaming horns and a charismatic singer get your feet and hips moving around.

Between Latin Beats, Hip-Hop, Dance music and Funky Grooves, The Peas Project will use any means to make you dance till you're sweating...
After three years and about fifty shows, The Peas Project produced and recorded "This Is Our First Record"

The Peas Project started up in 2003, when a bunch of friends in Brussels got together to have a laugh and make some music. At the beginning, intentions ranged as diverse as influences, but the band soon decided to focus mainly on funk and associated styles.
The Peas Project have gradually built up a strong following in Brussels, and were shortlisted for the Brussels Jazz Marathon award for Young Jazz Musicians in 2004. The last three years have involved around 50 gigs, some on some pretty impressive stages.
The next stage up is this: The Peas have recorded and produced their first record, a novel experience which has allowed them to perfect their writing and arrangements, with the invaluable help of Laurent Blondiau (aka Blo The Peas).
The result of these efforts  is “This Is Our First Record”, an opportunity to satisfy existing fans, and perhaps seduce future ones.
