After winning a Belgian young talents' contest in december 2004, they kicked off their stage career with bands like Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park, Iggy Pop, The Cribs, The Subways, etc... In may 2005, they released their first EP. And was the indie summer hit on belgian radio Pure FM, in autumn this radio chose a second extract from the same EP to go on spinning the tunes. They might be Belgians but they are first a bunch of rockers. In November: direction Italy to record their debut LP at the Yuppie Flu headquarters. The sound is simple and powerful. They impose their in-your-face-pop-punk songs, somewhere between Weezer and The Strokes. Their first single is " Los anGeles ", as a scout for their LP simply titled " G ". By the way, their first video for this single will be shot in... Los Angeles. Of course! Good gigs and festivals on the agenda for this summer. They start at Printemps de Bourges, in France, with The Subways, Arctic Monkeys, dEUS... Malibu Stacy is a doll that shouts Yeah ! ...and it happens that that doll has an album ready right now. Malibu Stacy stepped into the sunlights only one year ago and the least that we can say is that the band got a damn suntan in the meantime.
