The project was initially developed with the conviction that the C.D as an object has no future unless it becomes an art form, incliding image and design. Smooth One consistently desired to link more and more intimately music and images.
Unconvinced by the immutable format of song, Smooth One delivers with Industrial Welfare music wich is essentialy modal based on harmonics, tones and rythmic juxtapositions. Mixed with the jazz and hip-hop influence of his early days, are repetitive music, ambient, hint of dub and post-rock. Ultimately, Industrial welfare is an album to be classed alone. It is both electronic and acoustic while exploring today’s technology, searching for maximum emotion.Emotion is the main driving force in this cd. Elegant and ultra-modern, swinging form violent to contemplative but above all poetic.
