ImageSo is Montel a rapper? A punker? Some electro-geek type? Or yet another French singer who owes a heavy debt to the late Serge Gainsbourg? The correct answer is probably: all of the above!

2005 was a good year for Montel as one of the songs from his first solo work, the self-produced 'Schizophonique EP' was featured in 'The Russian Dolls' movie by Cedric Klapisch, a big hit in the French box office. Parisian underground mainstay Loïk Dury (DJ Loik from Radio Nova fame) and his record label, Kraked, had a big hand in this, so now go visit parisdjs.com!

 

What's next for 2006? World domination no less! Montel's first LP 'Dans Mes Reves' (ie In My Dreams), is scheduled to be released in 2007 by indie label Discordian Records, ands gigs all over are to come too, so keep posted...
