RUACUTANE, who’ve been working since the end of 2003 are jérémie (guitar and vocals), xavier (keys and programming) and sandra (vocals). nicholas on stand-up bass and renaud on the drums will then join these three. RUACUTANE are the best of both worlds : a mixture of atmospheric pop with accents of electro.
RUACUTANE, create well written charming melodies which work with the two voices of the group, never overstretching the vocal range, yet harmoniously complementing each other. RUACUTANE are a savvy mixture of influences (Grandaddy, Yo la tengo, Overhead, The Notwist…) to which the personal tastes and influences of each band member are added (adding a bit of jazz for one member, a bit of pop for another). RUACUTANE are therefore a fresh group who don’t want to conform to a specific style but rather prefer to create music they like for others to enjoy. RUACUTANE aren’t in the pharmacy but can be appreciated without risk of an overdose.

Les cinq membres de Ruacutane m’ont présenté le leur par petites touches élégantes, quelques morceaux de leur répertoire doux et suave, mélange d’électro alanguie et originale ("Tea Spoon"), de pop atmosphéric ("Just for a coda") et de trip hop...
