 Victoria Santiago Borja, or rather, La Tana starts off her solo career after standing out among Paco de Lucía‘s „cositas buenas“ (good little things) and after accompanying the dancing of Farruquito and Joaquín Cortés. Tú, ven a mí“ (You, come to me) is her invitation, a record that is festive and happy. La Tana, a young Sevillian cantaora (flamenco singer), makes her solo debut („Tú, ven a mí“ ) under the guidance of Paco de Lucía. The guitarist from Algeciras had already offered her another little debut previously which La Tana was able to make the most of: her voice appears on some tracks of „Cositas Buenas“, including the tango after which the record is named. And she travelled around the world with Paco on his international tour. However, La Tana had already travelled half-way around the world previously, accompanying Farruquito and Joaquín Cortes with her singing that is heart-felt, with a strong flamenco character and plenty of meter. Now, with her first solo record, „Tú, ven a mí“, La Tana stops being a mere promise, and starts becoming an established artist. Paco de Lucía is the producer of the record , which is the first record he has produced since the last record that Camarón de la Isla recorded, „Potro de rabia y miel“ (1992). However, this is not the only external involvement that she enjoyed, as Javier Limón , the prestigious producer and guitarist who won the Latin Grammy for the Best Producer in the year 2004, has been in charge of the record‘s executive production. Diego „el del Morao“ plays the flamenco guitar, Alain Pérez and Carles Benavent take turns on the bass, Piraña is responsible for the flamenco cajón (box-drum) and Caramelo de Cuba is seated at the piano. All of them have taken part in this essentially festive record : bulerías, rumbas and tangos. Nonetheless, La Tana has also allowed some space for more solemn cantes (styles) like the seguiriya and the soleá. And also Paco himself supports her with his graet playing.
